BUILDING A BETTER WEB

I love replacing centralized, closed, and paid software with handcrafted versions that are better, faster, and more open. I’m just starting out, so if you want to be the first to join in when I go live and this website is updated, use the links below.

I see the internet as a limitless canvas for creativity, sharing of knowledge, and human expression. Today, that web is being taken away.

“You will own nothing and be happy”

First, it was SAAS forcing us to use their cloud services. Then, it’s games. Up next, it’ll be our own personal computers. Software is meant to be owned, not rented—as does the hardware that runs it. Every piece of software that I make is meant to be owned; it cannot and shouldn’t be taken away from you.

“You are the product”

There was a time where an online service would have a Premium tier because the company was so confident in the quality of their product that they knew the user would eventually buy it. Now that quality is sacrificed in the name of greed, the product becomes the user themselves—you. I believe in the quality of my software, and that privacy is a human right.

“Creativity is dead”

A world where art is automated is a dystopian one. I see the narrative that AI makes art more accessible and easy as nothing more than marketing jargon. Art is not about the end result, and therefore cannot be replaced. I create art because I like it, and I do it well because it’s human.

I’m a sixteen-year-old independent developer making software that proves that an open internet is a better one, that art is still alive, and that software should belong to the people.
